We Love to write!!!

The Awesome Owls love to work together to write stories. Today we read a book called "Bubble Trouble" by Margaret Mahy. We worked together to do a sentence about the story.

Tongan Language Week

This past week the Owls having been learning g about the Tongan Language. We looked at where Tonga is on a map, learned a Tongan song and had fun making our class tapa cloth. We chose patterns thy we liked and coloured them in using special crayons and dyed them. We think they look awesome! 

Shared writing in Room 4

Geometry

Today the Awesome Owls explored shapes. First we made shape monsters using foam shapes. Then we made our own shape monsters on paper. 

Flight

As our inquiry topic we are exploring flight. Today we made paper helicopters and had a whole heap of fun testing them. 

Maths is fun in Room 4

Kwndryek and Rosalynn are working on ordering their numbers to 20. Today we made it a competition winner gets house points and bragging rights :)

Cook Island Language Week

For our Cook Island Language Week Project, we made a flower ei. 

First we coloured and dyed our flowers. 

Next we made the headband using green paper. We glued on some green leaves. 

We finished off by gluing on the flowers.
