WALT do chest passing

We learned how to chest pass. First we pretended to hold a ball.

Then we pushed our hands out, pointing out thumbs to the ground.

Finally we got to try it with a ball!

We had so much fun! Thank you coaches :)

How to Make ANZAC Biscuits

The Awesome Owls and Clever Kiwis used their measurement skills to make ANZAC biscuits. Let us show you how we did it.

First we sanitised our hands.

Then we checked our recipe.

We poured in 1 cup of oats.

We then added 1 cup of sugar.

Next we added 1 cup of flour.

After that we added 1 cup of coconut.

We mixed together the dry ingredients.

We then took 125g of butter and put it in our bowl.

To our butter we added 2tbs of golden syrup and 2tbs of water.

Then we heated the wet ingredients in the microwave. We talked about having an adult with us to help us when using heat.

We added Baking Soda to the wet ingredients. The baking soda made the mixture bubble!

We then mixed the wet and dry ingredients together.

Then we took some dough and made it into a ball then pushed it down into a biscuit on the tray.

Finally it was time to bake them in the oven. Miss To'oto'o helped Latai put them in the oven.

And finally the moment we were all waiting for, we got to eat our cookies!!! Yummy!!! Happy Owls and Kiwis all round :)
